:) u don't have to be good.. u just have to be FUN to be around!! a guy who gets mad, who can't admit he sucks, is not going to have a "positive" attitude..but if you are constantly trying to be better, to learn more, and to Help her, then she will appreciate you no matter HOW good u are.. it's not like u are from the NBA and u suck... ur just a guy who likes to watch basketball. remember, to be a "Man" doens't mean to be macho, obnoxious, best at everything, beat up people, boss people around... a Real Man will be respectful, caring, attentive, and willing to learn, able to admit mistakes, and just keep trying to improve!! :) so be that kind of guy, and everyone will be impressed that u are trying to help this girl out AND spend time with her!!

Probably the only reason she wants help with basketball is to spend time with you. She knows how much you like the sport and she is using it to get to you. Tell her the truth that alot you like basketball you are not the best at the game. Offer to still help her if she would like. You can also ask her out on a date somewhere else like lunch or a movie. Hope this helps.

Ok, speaking as a female, I doubt she's super interested in learning how to play basketball, it's just an excuse for her to hang out with you.
Go, teach her what you know and see what happens from there. Don't worry about being great at basketball, she's not going to care.

Obviously she doesn't care if you can play basketball or not...she just wants to spend time with you. Make it a fun date of basketball playing one-on-one. I'm sure she doesn't know the technicalities of b-ball. Just have fun! She'll better appreciate the fact that you guys had a good time than you being the expert of b-ball.

Don't worry about how good your skill level is - you can teach her the basics, which you know. It's a good activity to spend time together with someone new. Wish you luck!

Maybe she just wants you to show her the basics. You don't have to be good at a sport in order to teach someone the basics.
