Clinton-got us out of the political scandals and the huge financial mess he left the country in as a result of reaganomics of Reagan and the incompetency of George Bush sr..

FDR- "The road to hell is paved with good intenions." The New Deal was a great theory but he didn't count on the cleaverness of the republicans to locate and exploit loopholes in it. They used Social Security as a slush fund which is the reason it almost depleated. He provided jobs duringthe depression and managed a World War.

Washington- He started this mess we call a country.

George Washington - he had the job first, and had no one to look to for prior experience.

Abraham Lincoln - he had to deal with a fractured country, and did so to the best of his ability, all the while trying to accomodate all factions.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt - he had to deal with a world at war, and a country in financial depression. Although history shows some of his solutions were mistakes, overall he took an extremely difficult situation and did the best he could, while keeping the country united as Americans.
