South Korea has tested its bomb... what does the free world do now. what can we do?

Not much - I wouldn't worry too much though either.

Leaders of country's didn't get to where they are without the good sense to appreciate the consequences of actually using weapons like these in anger.

I suspect the main reason for S. Korea getting the bomb is to prevent a 'regime change' by the US. I also suspect it will work.

I genuinely think if we do nothing to antagonise the situation will happen.

North Korea is the ninth country in the world now with nuclear weapons. The tenth country most likely will be Iran. What now? Well nothing has happened yet. The USA is a long way for a nuclear bomb to hit us, we have anti-ballastic to counter an attack. The big worry is Japan, only 300 miles away. Since Japan is one of our closest allies, that's the big what if right now, what if North Korea was preparing to attack Japan what would we do. And how could we prevent something like that from ever happening.

It was North Korea and this was reported on my comcast news...

The president called the leaders of South Korea, Russia, Japan and China, and he said they all reaffirmed a commitment to a nuclear-free Korean peninsula. At the United Nations, the U.S. proposed stringent sanctions, including a trade ban on military and luxury items, the power to inspect all cargo entering or leaving the country, and freezing assets connected with its weapons programs.

While concerned that North Korea could use a nuclear weapon offensively, the United States is equally worried about it selling nuclear materials or weapons to others. North Korea is believed to have enough plutonium for as few as four and as many as a dozen nuclear bombs.

I guess there isnt anything we can do to change it...Hopefully wont be anything more than another cold war...

I think it's North Korea isn't it? Bush can send his nuke hunters over there now! LOL They have to make it a universal thing. Hunt for nukes in Iraq, hunt for nukes in North Korea and then China now.... on and on it goes....

They don't have oil, Saddam has already been caught, and Osama isn't hiding there, so I know the U.S. for sure won't be doing anything. Who knows what the rest of the world will do.

With our retarded president looking for Weapons of Mass Destruction -- it's apparent where they are. Do you think Bush will pull the kids out of Iraq to fight the actual country that is preparing to attack us? NO - why? There's no money in that. Who cares if we die..Bush doesn't.
