You have most likely already uninstalled it, then. Most uninstalls still leave a folder or two, and a few last files, maybe an icon,l and you just send those to the recycle bin. If you have just done the uninstall, and haven't rebooted, then the uninstall is not not complete yet.

Try to download "Your Uninstaller 2006" from download.com and right click on the Norton icon and choose "clear" if "uninstall" doesn't function.
your Uninstaller is a shareware but you have 30 days I think to use the program then you can buy it. It's a powerfull tool to fully uninstall software from your computer.

Go to start menue click on run type in
%appdata% then look at the files and find the one you want to get rid of right click and delete, careful you don't choose the wrong one tho, you might loose something you need, :~)

An easy way to check if you still have sh1tty norton on your PC.
Open `my computer` open `program files`.
If the norton folder is there delete it. If it`s not, it ain`t. :-)

Do a search. Got to start >search files and type the name in and delete from there. Go to start run>type msconfig.click start up and check if it's there. Peace!

click START.... SEARCH.......FILE OR FOLDERS and do a search for Norton then delete what the search finds
