Depending in who your email provider is, there should be an list where you can specify addresses to "always allow" emails from, even when they would normally be classed as spam. Check in your account/email options.

In the old mail program check the box next to the email that is not Spam. Click the Not Spam button. The Spam filter is not a one time learn. It has to be taught to recognize email that is not spam. You might have to do this process over the next 2 or 3 email you get from this person. Be patient, it will learn and start putting the ones you select in your Inbox.

I use this feature constantly. It does work, generally, in one to three Not Spam clicks.
