Robert Todd Lincoln (August 1, 1843 - July 26, 1926): born in Springfield, Illinois, and died in Manchester, Vermont. .... this was the one who lived
Edward Baker Lincoln (March 10, 1846 - February 1, 1850): born and died in Springfield.
In December of 1849 Eddie became quite ill with what was thought to be diphtheria. Most likely the disease was really pulmonary tuberculosis. Mary rubbed his chest with balsam. However, after 52 days of acute illness, Eddie passed away on February 1, 1850. He wasn't even four years old.
William Wallace Lincoln (December 21, 1850 - February 20, 1862): born in Springfield and died in Washington, D.C.
Shortly thereafter (moving to the White House) Willie became ill. His condition fluctuated from day to day. Mostly likely the illness was typhoid fever. Gradually Willie weakened. Both parents spent much time at his bedside. Finally, on Thursday, February 20, 1862, at 5:00 P.M. the young boy passed away.
Thomas "Tad" Lincoln (April 4, 1853 - July 16, 1871): born in Springfield and died in Chicago.
By late May Tad developed difficulty in breathing when lying down and had to sleep sitting up in a chair. By early June he was dangerously ill. He then rallied for a short time. As July approached he weakened again. Tad's pain and agony worsened as his face grew thinner. On Saturday morning, July 15, 1871, Tad passed away at the age of 18. The cause of death was most likely tuberculosis. Tad's death occurred in the Clifton House in Chicago.
Only Robert survived into adulthood. Robert had three children and three grandchildren. None of the grandchildren had any children, so Abraham Lincoln's bloodline ended when Robert Beckwith (Lincoln's great-grandson) died on December 24, 1985.[4]

How many children did Lincoln have?
Four, all boys. Robert Todd Lincoln (1843-1926) attended Harvard, served in the Union army during the Civil War, practiced law, served as Secretary of War for Presidents Garfield and Arthur, ran the Pullman Palace Car Company, and was minister to England for four years. The other three died young: Edward Baker Lincoln (1846-1850), William Wallace Lincoln (1850-1862), and Thomas “Tad” Lincoln (1853-1871).
