I hate it so much. Its like nails on a chalkboard to me. My Guy makes fun of me all the time. Its a pet peeve I have to have socks on in the house. He is actually going to redue all the flooring to hardwood floors because he can't stand it. How silly is that?

honey it's NOT silly! we finally got rid of ALL our carpet. let me say this. i have a 300 dollar vacuum cleaner. that piece of SH!T doesn't pick up ANYTHING! if you could pull back your carpet and see what's under it....you'd cringe!
i wear SHOES in any ones house w/carpeting...i don't care how "clean" they say it is.
i am gleefully enjoying my NON carpeted home!

Not clear why someone would have a problem with that, but to each his/her own, I suppose. I love going barefoot!
I'm always barefoot at home, & I go barefoot away from home anytime I can. My bare feet are toughened enough & my soles are hard enough that I think I could walk barefoot on any surface.

not silly... at times, I have to wear socks because I don't like the carpet because it gets cold at times... I want hardwood floors because I can imagine all of the stuff in the carpet... ugh.

Not silly at all, I'm the opposite (or something like it); I can't stand to walk on a hard floor barefoot for fear that I'm going to instantly get sick or something like that. So, not silly at all.

they both are silly, just take your socks off, and gently put them on the carpet, only for a second, you can do it!!! we all can... there is nothing wrong with it.

Its not silly,everyone is different.I love being in my bare feet,especially in my garden on the grass.
