Yes, they do, and I have some great pictures of frozen waterfalls that have changed into giant columns of ice. Ice climbing on frozen waterfalls is a great winter sport.

Absolutely! The Colorado muntains are full of waterfalls that freeze in the winter. The frozen cascades are beautiful, and I understand some people really love the challenge of climbing them. By midsummer they are fully wet again, but as the cold weather becomes more and more frequent they become more and more solid.

yes they do, and I've seen an authentic picture of Niagra Falls frozen, as well. Think of icicles, they are like small waterfalls.

it has to be cold enough, so it occasionally would freeze.

Actually yes. One such case: in Canada, it actually got so cold it froze Niagra Falls!

Yes, Niagara Falls has frozen, My boyfriend has driven past it while it was frozen.

I guess they do freeze. But in order for it to be a "waterfall," doesn't the water, by definition, have to be falling? So maybe when Niagra Falls is frozen, it's no longer a "waterfall..." Maybe it's an "ice wall..."
