How long can U leave a pad in? The longest I have is 11 hrs.

Prob every 4 hours during the day as it will start to smell after a while and if you are heavy it will leak on to your clothes and not give you the protection you need and for night time 8 -9 hours as you dont tend to bleed as much whilst you are lied down but make sure you wash/shower every morning to remove any blood from the area, as for tampons the most you can leave them in for is 8 hours (think of when you sleep)and are more hygienic but this method does not suit all girls and women

Either a pad or a tampon should be changed every 4 to 6 hours - without fail.
A tampon expecially can cause toxic shock syndrome if left in longer than 8 hours.

WOW! you should change your pad or tampon every 4 hrs. you can leave it in for up to 8 but not over! You could get an infection and start to smell.

Personally (and this is just me others may do it different for different reasons) I change my pad once every two hours. I no longer wear tampons because as I get older my flow isn't as heavy. Every woman is different but this is what I do.

Wow, I didn't know it was some kind of competition. Anyways, I have no idea "how long I can leave a pad in" because I only use tampons.

my mom says 3 the most 4 because after a while it will start to stink but if it is a light day you could probably go 7

I change pads (when I use them) every time I use a restroom, just so I feel cleaner.
I think you may mean tampons... in that case all day. (I have a very light flow :)

How long can u leave a pad in???? I didn't know you could put a pad in but if you mean how long you can wear it. I assume until its full of blood. 6-8hr after that NASTY....

tampon are much much better.
bt if u arnt ready then stick with pads until u are.
i dont reallytime the wear of them. i would just go by look. if it is full of blood then change it... if it isnt, then wait till it is... simple as tht! lol
