thats a tall order, but I will say that my all time favorite movie would be Training Day w/ Denzel. But You would have to break it up into categories. You couldnt just pick one. I mean comedy that would have to be Sol Goode or Rules of Attraction. Classic would split: One for The Breakfast Club and the other for Close encounters of the Third Kind. Sentimental would be Terms of Endearment, Dramatic would be either SlingBlade or One flew over the cuckoos nest, Horror, well Jack still reigns supreme in the Shining. So you have to take a while to look into all the movies you have watched and pick the best 3. 1 is just too hard to come to terms.

Aliens (for non-stop action and humor), Tombstone (one of the coolest cowboy movies ever), Lord of the Rings 1 and 2, NOT 3....(for the sheer fantasy spectacle of it all), Glengarry Glen Ross (incredible cast and mile a minute dialogue that was fascinating), and Lawrence of Arabia -- epic adventure that leaves you breathless!
Oh yeah, I gotta add "Phantasm" - this bizarre little horror flick is still one of my all time favorites!!!! Why, because of the sheer lunacy of the storyline and the characters' ability to take it so seriously and be able to pull it off -- I totally was sucked into the plot....the Tall Man, the dwarfs w/ the yellow blood, the silver metal "death" ball with the blades and drill to suck out your brain, the "other world/universe" - bizarre, fun and SCARY...."booooyyyy!"

I really enjoyed Napoleon Dynamite! It was great. E.T. didn't do anything for me.
If you liked Mean Girls you should see the Sisterhood of the traveling Pants. I think you'll like it.
