tabbyfur, Im asking for your opinion thats all!

I have two kids of my own now, one of whom is old enough to start asking questions, I will never tell her there is no Santa. To this day if I ask my Mum is there such thing as Santa her answer is 'those who dont believe get nothing'.

Santa lives on through me lol.

I believe that Santa lives in the hearts of parents who love their little children.

The story began with St. Nicolas, and I don't know why it was transformed into "Santa". For one thing, just as it is a child's joy of the Holy season, it surely is a distraction from the main subject, which is the birth of the Savior. And while there is a call to "believing in Santa", there's almost no mention of baby Jesus, the aught-to-be main focus of the event.
It may not seem of such difference to a child or juvenile, but surely, not all children find the right direction at adulthood, and the most common residue is a marred opinion about faith and religion altogether. In my opinion, Santa might as well be the term SATAN, rephrased.

Well I believe in Santa and I'm almost 50, each year miracles happen for people at Christmas, people have their dreams come true and some of the lonely end up with an invite to lunch after all, so if it ain't Santa who sorts all this out then who does, people can poo poo the idea of Santa all they want but like my mam said those who don't believe get nowt just like your mom told you the same, Santa has always been good to me.

Of course I believe. What would Christmas be without Santa?

I have little kids of my own but I tell them to be good and nice or else they will not receive Santa's gifts. This is my preference though because I know they will learn from the lessons from the life of Saint Nicholas or Santa Claus, to be good all year round. I even encourage my kids to write Santa a letter so I would know what they wished for, hopefully if I could fulfill it, I will give it to them but if impossible, I left a note in return telling them Santa can't carry the order. I know I am lying to them this way about Santa but I want them to grow up as good boys. You should see their happy faces and how excited they are about Christmas fast approaching, it is to me really worth all the tales, telling them about Santa makes me smile seeing their smiling faces. So, who cares if Santa is not real. He is real to our hearts and my kids too. Goodluck!

Of course there is a Santa, you only have to watch your kids faces light up when they visit the various grotto's in stores etc.

The magic of Christmas will always be there, no matter your age.

Believe.
