i'd say 15mm depends where the water is going 22mm for baths , 15mm for ordinary sinks

I think you mean the pipe from the supplier to your house stop-**** called the SERVICE PIPE
If that is what you mean, then traditionally it was half inch or 15mm
Water companies are starting to put in blue plastic pipe of 20mm and 25mm because of increasing water consumption.
When it gets to the house it is reduced to 15mm or 22mm , and as someone has already said 22mm to baths, 15 mm to handbasins

If you are referring to the main water supply then it should be a minimum of 22mm.
Normal plumbing installation is 15mm to sinks and wash hand basins, and 22mm to baths.
