I have lived in a duplex style apartment for a year, and there is a septic problem, and there has been since I moved in. I didn't start complaining about it until March of this year, but once a month i complain, i have written letters and called several times. They have not fixed it yet.

The problem is so bad that there is a stream of raw sewage flowing behind my apartment. It is unsanitary and the smell is beyond words at times.

What can i do about this?

It is not up to you to complain, but the responsibility of the landlord or any designee to know what is going on...All property, car, home, etc. is the responsibility of the owner. If you have made a good faith complaint about the septic problems that is more tha sufficient.

Also, take a look at anything you have written with the landlord and determine if you may be responsible for such problems. The courts would want to see any and written agreements with the owners or the property, or any designee.

Don't wait any longer. Get in touch with the Board of Health or the water authority or whomever is in charge of the problem with the water and/or septic problems.

This is definitely a health matter and must be rectified, asap. If you have a community organization, complain to them. In some communities, the fire and/or police department may be of some assistance.

Make noise about the matter. If you are forced to leave, at least you would have satisfied yourself in doing whatever it takes to get results. Do not ignore this matter.

Actually one complaint is enough to make a case.. Especially if it involves sanitation and he/she is not taking care of the problem, then you can pursue this. Please make sure that you have documented all the letters conversations you've had with the landlord. My advice, send a complaint via certified mail with returned receipt. I mean you're gonna waste like $2.00 but you'll have proof that it was received.. And then you can file a complaint with your local court house.. This is serious as it threatens your health as well as that of the people that live there. What if it contaminated the good water supply?

think this is a little far-fetched. Humans and other animals have had pretty much the same percentage of gender-preference differences since we've been keeping track of such things. Additionally, changes in preferences certainly don't indicate changes in anatomy. I mean, if penis size had been steadily shrinking, THAT may be a sign of changing physiognomy or "evolution." But the mere higher visibility of homosexuals really doesn't indicate any sort of trend.
