I have 4.42 weighted GPA, 3 leadership positions, several distinction awards, a job as a lab assistant at my school, volunteer experience, pretty good essays in the process, good recommendations, summer programs,

You have a pretty good chance of getting in. SAT scores aren't THAT important. Your weighted GPA is a little low, but it sounds like all of your other credentials will make up for it. You should definitely apply. Good luck!

try and get all of your sat scores in at least 600s..i mean you're almost there once you do that you'll have a better chance because the applicant rate is so high now there's a belief that a cut off score is in use--your other stats sound good but trust me the sat is crucial..and if you do do ED and get rejected then you can't apply again..especially if you retake your sats after you apply and score higher.

If you don't get in because of your SAT score. Study hard and do it again. the first time i took it i didnt study and i got a 1310, but its not high enough to get into some colleges that i would like to go to. i am studying and retaking it this weekend, The Big Blue SAT prep book really helps you get a feel for what to expect and how to answer question.
