We have been pre approved, got the contract signed w/ a closing date of Oct. 13th, the appraisal is done, the survey is done, and the inspection is done and all are good to go. We are just waiting to get the final approval. What are the chances it won't happen?

Unless something major happens(ed) between the time you were pre approved and the closing date, where your circumstances changed ( loss of job,...) you should be good to go. If something minor does come up, you should be able to work it out and still close.

I agree with "Pop", if its meant to be it will...

Asusming that you didn't do something really stupid like go out and buy a new car to celebrate your new home, there should not be any real trouble.

Most of the time the underwriter will find nit-noy little things that need to be addressed. A missing proof of income or tax return, or a document missing from one of the parties. Just jump on those quickly if any come up and you should close on time.

Been there, done that. Many times.

Congrats and good luck in your new home!

Relax would be the first thing to do. We just did the whole buy a house thing and I had the same worries. We went through the same process you listed...we closed on the loan with no problems what so ever. It is very stressful but once you sign the papers you will feel a lot better! Good luck and Congrats!

Slim to none. Relax and don't worry about it. IF it was meant for you to have the house, you will get it. IF it wasn't meant for you to have the house....you won't.

It looks like all is a GO. Relax and let if flow. You have done all you can. Good luck. Pops
