All right...there's this kid "Joe" here at college...he's always had this superior attitude like he's better than everyone...our school is 99.99% black, and lots of the students come from low-income families....
So Joe sends me a message on myspace asking me who "Rodney" is (a gay friend of mine who lives in MO. We lost contact for ten years and just now got back in touch) Joe saw his picture on I thought he was making fun of Rodney, so I tell Joe that he shouldn't be making fun of gay people or anybody at all... so Joe goes, "I wasn't trying to be funny...I thought he was cute...I'm bisexual, but please don't tell anybody."
Now I'm straight...and I have about 7 gay friends...but I'm not sure if Joe is trying to play a trick on me or if he really is bi...we don't even talk that much...I think it's weird that he'd come out to me....what should I do? Is he playing a trick on me, or is he serious?

I can imagine very few people who would claim to be gay or bisexual when they really weren't.

Let the issue go and wait. You don't know if he is or isn't playing a trick so wait and see what he tries to spring on you, then act accordingly.
