its got up side down forks, has nt got a slim line seat

i brought this bike from a police auction, stolen an recovered, the bikes numbers are missin, in the auction they said it was a 97 model. but it has the old style seat, im a bit lost .

Either bring your vin # to a Yamaha dealer (they can tell you) or contact Yamaha (tell them the vin #). The vin # is on the steering neck of the frame. Very front of the frame behind the forks -

Look for engine case serial stamped in cast metal parts. Its also sometimes on the transmission, its a marking that any Yamaha dealership parts desk with a computer can match you with.

Look on the V5 (vehicle registration form) you should have for the bike... Or what reg is it? B reg is 1983/4

you will have to get the engine numbers & frame numbers then contact yamaha.
