Should he be traded? No. Will he be traded? Maybe. First of all, he's a natural shortshop, and the Yankees put him on third, even though he has more range and a better arm than Jeter. Did A Rod complain? No. He played third. That alone shows he is willing to go the distance for the team. So what does the media do, in particular the Daily News and Post, they slander his name in the paper day after day. Reason A-Rod makes $25 million a year, a Post reporter makes $50,000 a year, or thereabouts. It's not that A Rod can't handle Yankee fans, he just can't handle the media jealousy over his huge contract.

Yes it's the Yankees way ,buy a player for $???.// bucks. Why trade or bring up someone from the farm system like all other teams do.They out bid everyone ,pay a ridiculous price and then raise the price of seats.NY sucks. And if your that stupid to pay the price so be it.I still haven't gone to a major league game sense the strike, but I do enjoy it on free TV all season long. Charles Finley was right when he said free agents would ruin BB.

i think that he should be traded, even though he's pretty good during the regular season. but when it comes down to a season, the post season is much more important and if you're not able to perform at such a stage, then see you later. he's had not just one, but THREE chances for the past 3 seasons, and lets just face it. he stunk in all three. this is new york, after all.

Perhaps, but I think Torre is the major problem - would you have consistently played some one who's both in the middle of a slump and famous for big-game fizzes? And in a crucial game? And benched Gambi? Guy's out there. Looks and acts like the Mummy. The Yanks need a livewire manager.
Yeah, let's trade A-Rod too. To me he's obviously taken with himself. Actually, the Yanks should clone a few Jeters.

New York would be crazy if they traded him. You don't trade the best player in baseball. They need to fire Joe Torre. How do you put A-Rod in the 8th spot in the batting order? Torre is the one that lost the series to the Tigers, not A-Rod.
