Jordan was an excellent basketball player, the best player in the world during the 1990s.
To correct an earlier post, he did not win six championships in a row, the most he ever won in a row was three... this of course, is dwarfed by the eight in a row won by the Celtics from 59-66.
Although he wasn't the greatest player ever, he is a top eight player of all time, along with Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Oscar Robertson, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson.
The Bulls teams of the '90s weren't a bunch of nobodies... Scottie Pippen was one of the top 50 players of all time, and he and MJ were in their primes at the same time. In the watered-down NBA of the 90s, that was more than enough for a dynasty. In addition to Pippen, the Bulls also had Dennis Rodman, the greatest non-center defensive player in history, as well as one of the best rebounders the game has ever seen.
And in case anyone out there thinks that Scottie was only good because he was a team mate of Jordan's, the reverse is also true... Jordan never won anything without Pippen...nor did Jordan ever win anything without Phil Jackson as his coach, although Jackson has won titles elsewhere, without Jordan.
Jordan's career scoring average (per game) is the highest in NBA history at 30.11 ppg... however, he accomplished this by simply taking more shots than anyone else. He led the NBA in FGA a record 9 times.

Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player who ever lived. I bet at his age now he'd still be better than half the players in the NBA.
He took a bunch of nobodies and turned then into NBA Champions. And hell, when he came out of retirement to play for the Wizards, even at his age, he greatly improved that team!

He replaced into participant of the 365 days as a junior, yet no person would have anticipated the success he had as a expert. He replaced into keen on the 0.33 %. of the draft and there replaced into no controversy in any respect. He replaced into no longer a famous guy or woman with the team that won the nationwide call. He replaced right into a freshman starter, yet Sam Perkins and James worth have been the celebs.
