I don't know about Tnn, but here in Oregon, it depends on where you want to be. The best thing to do would be contact a broker in the areas you are interested in and have therm run a search of their MLS. You can access the MLS yourself, but you will probably not get all the information that you are seeking.

they can fill you in on house/land prices and tell you the cheapest areas to start looking. good luck ;)
