I really like "My Life Without Me." The cast rocks (Sara Polley, Debbie Harry, Scott Speedman, Mark Ruffalo) because you don't see them every other week in "the best movie this year!".And they are give such muted, incredible performances. Also the score is almost non-existent, giving it a realistic feel which bodes well for it's subject matter. Mostly though it's the writing. The characters are all sympathetic, but not sympathetic all of the time. They're real people dealing with the hands they've been dealt and kind of wondering if they should have played things differently. Even as what is is bearing down and them, they wonder about what could have been. Very sad, and very good. Also loved "The Rapture", "Warm Summer Rain", and "Crash" (David Cronenberg's) Good luck with everything.

One of my favorite films, Independent or not, is American History X. I like the artistic direction with some scenes in color and some in black and white, much like the themes dealt with in the film. Edward Norton was fantastic in this role as well. The low budget feel of the film does not take away from the deep emotions that are felt. The point of the film that hate doesn't get you anywhere in life is driving into the viewer like a stake through the heart of the vampire. I am not trying to write a film review, but am only explaining why I love this "Indy" so much.

I am a huge fan of Devil in a Blue Dress. It's a movie from the 1990's with Denzel Washington and Don Cheadle. Great movie. I love the story. A lot of twists and turns.
