I thought China was on our side?

Question

Everyone is asking these questions and the answers come out that China will join North Korea and fight the U.S.

Last time I watched the news I could have sworn I heard them say China had the same opinion as us. I know why they have the same opinion but why is everyone saying differently?

China is not really an ally of the west. It wants to replace America as the world's superpower, and could rein in NK if it wanted. I doubt they're stupid enough to join NK in attacking the US or South Korea but they're not likely to do all they could to settle this. North Korea is a pretty useless ally to China but if it collapsed under sanctions, China would be flooded with refugees which it doesn't want.

China hates the U.S. China sees North Korea as a threat as well as others in the region. So the U.S. and China both do not want North Korea to have nuclear arms for the safety of others in that region (They probably will not be able to hit the U.S. coast). This is the first time in a long time that China and the U.S. have agreed to work together.

China wants to play all sides. They have to stay on the US's good side because we are such a huge source of their manufacturing income. On the other hand, they have to be nice to North Korea too because North Korea buys materials and resources from China. They also buy a ton of weapons from China. So China is on the side of cash.

can u really blame a country wanting to defend themselves from a president Hitler oops i mean bush they don't want a democracy pushed on them They are happy with there Communism So i don't see a problem with them wanting to be a force to be reckoned with look at America why do u think we have nukes so Communism wouldn't spread and concur us. what makes us better then any other country to have these weapons?just my opinion! Oh yea China doesnt support any thing but the money they make from the ex-ports from there country. And they are so large that the only way to beat them by any country in the world is to nuke them but hey they also have nukes.So china is on one side there own !!!

I do not believe China would side with us at all. As a matter of a somewhat educated opinion, China and Russia would help Iran in war not us. the chinese defense ministers, for years, have said war with the US is inevitable by 2010, and have been planning for it.

meanwhile, clinton in the 90's let china have a grab bag of missile and nuclear technology, why?

and why did clinton give north korea 2 nuclear reactors?

China pretends to be our friend. When it comes down to it, China is on it's own side. China also wants N. K. to not have the N. bomb, but they do not want an enemy of N.K.............Today is the 1st time Bush did not have a smirk on his lips.

Honey, I hate to tell you this, but no one is on our side. This is the beginning of WWIII and we are going down. I support our troops because they are following orders, but like the rest of the world (outside of naive americans) I don't agree with those orders.
