Unfortunately, there's not a national Public Utilities Commission. The state PUCs are what regulate or monitor the energy companies and pricing, depending on the state. Naturally, this would be the best resource if you were looking for the most expensive in the state.

I tried the next logical place, the Department of Energy's Web site, but found nothing there. Also checked the Environmental Protection Agency, and nothing there either. Don't think that information exists.

Where I live, though, TXU by far is the most expensive. My last three bills were outrageous...must've gone to pay the nice CEO compensation package.

Are there 10 total in the U.S.? I know Duke energy has to be one of the highest.
