Gryphon's Griffons eggs?

Question

OK I know Griffons lay agates and not eggs but do the agates act like eggs and hatch? How do they females have babies if they just lay rocks? Is it true the females only have wings and the males don't? What is a good website for griffons? I am trying to get info on griffons and it doesn't work Thanks.
