I have a 2000 Ford Explorer with a 6 cylender moter and it sounds like I have a big moter in it more than what it can handle I dont know what direction to turn I cant afford to take it to a Ford shop and have them screw me for lots of money when they dont ever tell me anything and cant fix anything rite, they always send me home saying they fixed it but within a few days it acts up again please help me what is rong with my Explorer??

What exactly do you mean it sounds like you have a "big motor" in it? Your description of your problem is EXTREMELY vague, and therefore unlikely to get you any satisfactory answer to your question. You need to be more specific about what symptoms your vehicle exhibits, which appears to cause you some concern?

seems to me ur mufflers blown.
go to the back of the car and take a look at the muffler, see if the sounds coming from ther.
Another way to check if it is the muffler is on cold mornings when u turn the car on and white smoke comes out, check if its coming out from newher under the car and not mostly from wher it should.

There must be 2 small screws protecting your exhaust in place, stunning on the top. do away with a style of, you are going to create a boy racer noise. somewhat some human beings try this.

I agree with surlygurl... lay on the ground and look up at your muffler and tail pipe... if you see any holes it needs to be replaced... that is probully your problem... not hard to fix...

Maybe it just needs a new muffler. But you need to get someone to look at it.
