I have been told to do this by some friends. I have paint peeling in one area (small) and some scratches (barely visible).

You can but the dealer will upcharge on the bill from the touch up company.

Drive around dealerships during the day and look for a van or pick up truck that is working out back or on the used lot. This is the touch up paint company. Just talk to them and let them see your car for the best advice and price.

If you can't find one on a dealership, look in the phone book, should be a few in there. If not find Dent Wizard in your area and ask them who they recomend for paint work.

Some basic Touch Up paint company names would be:

Paint Bull
Chips Away
AltraColor
MARS
or multiple small business names

If you take it to the dealer they are probably going to charge you allot!! Get a estimate at the dealer and then go to a body shop and see if there is a big different!! If the dealer does it they will probably do a good job but there is also some very good bodyshops out there that will do a good job for cheaper!! Look into it! Good luck!!

you always get screwed at the dealers, unless you have a warranty. Which I am probably sure doesn't cover paint damage.

I would look for a good detailer in your area.

Scroll down and look for the regional forums and ask your question in the region where you live. Also when someone replies look at their post history and see if they have had quality posts.

If you want to pay $500+ you go for it... If you dont' think you need it don't worry about it... its not your friends car.. .its your and its your $$$$ If your friends think its that big of a deal tell them to give you there $$ and then you'll fix it!

Dealers will probably charge you an arm and a leg.
