They made this one easy; you can tell just by looking that carbon is over 50% of the weight of the formula. Only B is greater than 50%.

The formula weight of cocaine is 303.4, and 17 * 12 is 204, and 204/303.4 is about 67%.

IT'S 67.3!!! sorry that's exciting for me, i was always bad at chemistry but i worked it out and it came up as an answer up there, wow that calls for a drink,
yeah so to do it you work out the atomic weight of the compound, then Davide the overall atomic (12 times17) weight of the carbon, by the over all atomic weight of the compound, than times it by 100

MC = 12
MH = 1
MN = 14
MO = 16

17 * 12 * 100 / (17*12+21*1+1*14+4*16) = 67.3

find the mass of the carbon in the molecule( 17*12.01)
find the mass of the whole molecule (17*12.01 + 21*1.0079 + 14.01 + 4*16.00)

Divide the mass of the carbon by the mass of the whole and multiply by 100
