If you think it has been a bad time for Democrats you must mean not having any power at any branch of government, That has been really tough .
Not tough in the way you might think though, It has been tough because Dubyah misled us into a war of choice (not necessity) while Osama Bin Laden still runs free 5 years after 9/11. It is tough because while New Orleans was under water, Dubyah said, "Brownie, Your doing a heckuva Job!" It is tough because we have pedophile predators authoring laws in congress to combat pedophilia. It is tough because Dubyah has Katrinaized the entire government with Rumsfeld and Cheyney and their Tsunami of corruption that is his cabinet. It is terrifying to think that the leader of the free world never regrets, never changes his mind and never takes reasonable advice or admits when he is wrong...For the love of god....We invaded the wrong middle eastern Country!

So Bush can keep spying on me, the previously inflated deficit projections (most likely inflated for the sole purposes of making it seem not so bad when it' still devastatingly terrible) were not met, and a rightwing blogger is running a disinformation campaign in a last-ditch effort save the Republican from their unforgivable trap of their own making.

Yes, it's a bad day for the dems.

Let's see:

The government can spy on me for no reason and now can "disappear" me with no trial to have god knows what applied to extract information... I'd say that's bad for Americans in general.

As for the $250 Billion Dollar Deficit... I am still old enough to remember budget surpluses. So when the government isn't quite as monstrously in the red as they first thought, excuse me for not dancing a jig.
