First, you need to figure out why you are cheating, is it him or you? Next you need to determine if you are staying or going. Then, you will know how to tell him and what to say. If you are having an affair, there is definitely a problem. Trust me, if you are unhappy, leave. Be prepared to be dumped by the best friend, cuz once the thrill of cheating is gone, you probably have nothing left. Good Luck!

Thank you for your honesty. It helps with assessing the problem. I don't want to completely bash you, but what were you thinking?
I can not honestly believe that you truly love your husband if you are doing this! This tells me that you find your affair to be completely normal and you are okay with them. You know that cheating is wrong, but you do not really care.Either way, because you are not satisfied enough with your husband you are going else were.Something could be emotionally or physically lacking in your relationship leading to your infidelity. The only thing you can do at this moment is to tell the truth then beg and plead. There are a number of things that couldn't hurt and will help the situation, but they will be hard to do. It really depends on how much you love him and if you are willing to stay and work things out. There are a number of ways you could do this. For example, you could have a three way telephone conversation where you tell your best bud to leave you alone because you are in love with your husband.I know, how embarrassing. But your husband needs to hear it if he desides to stay.He needs to know how upset you are, how sorry you are and, of course, how miserable you are.Let him know that you are the only thing that matters to you.Throw your pride out the window and grovel.

Oh boy.
Well I would say be honest and tell the truth. Unless you plan to burn the bridges between yourself and your husband then just leave him and say goodbye. Let him figure out this truth by himself.
Eventually he will find out one way or the other.
BTW Why are you having an affair when you're married, oh well thats why its called an affair.
Come clean with your husband the poor man deserves the truth at least.

Your marriage is down the tubes. Tell him, leave, and let him get on with his life, because you have decided to be stupid and break your wedding vows. Way to go, sweetie. With you he doens't need enemies. I just hope your children don't hate you because you are disgusting.
If you are asking him for forgiveness and you have left your affair (which it doesn't sound like you have) then you both will need a LOT of marriage counseling. Just hope he will forgive you.

Just tell him that your having an affair, be honest with him. You must not love him or you however wouldn't be doing this to him. Poor guy.

With the divorce papers. If you wan't to stay together he is better off never knowing. Break the affair off and come correct. If not get divorced and when he finds out he finds out. JUST ANOTHER PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHY MEN ARE NOT "FRIENDS" WITH WOMEN

If you want to keep your husband better not tell him about the affair.
If your best friend is the one that you wan to go further with, then tell your husband in a very careful way, he will probabely hurt very much...

This may be best handled by having a quiet time when both of you are free to talk without interruption. If your best friend is a woman he may be interested in sharing you with her.

I don't mean to sound like a smart-***, but if my wife had that news to break to me, I certainly would want her to be honest and in another state. No matter how kind you are about it, no matter if he would like a three-way; it will hurt like the devil. It will hit him in every fear that he has, loss of a loved one, failure, rejection, etc.
Oh, I have to say this, 'the shame is on you'.

You aren't being fair to your husband at all. If you don't love him anymore why are you still there? Do the decent thing and leave.Hopefully there are no children involved.
