Jerry Garcia was overrated. He was good but the Dead sure had some boring moments throughout their career.
Pavarotti isn't my cup of tea. I can't rate him. Boring to me!
Carlos Santana is great, very unique style, and still a trendsetter after almost 40 years of being a professional musician. He can play rock, jazz, blues, and Spanish at the same time. His style is a melding of all 4 of these genres..

Santana is one of the greatest guitar players to ever pick up an axe. Jerry Garcia was a very gifted musician and played some great leads during his career, but when he was tripping out on acid, it played some pretty weird spaced out stuff too.
I don't know how you come up with your ethnic classification. Romanians are slavic people. Pavarotti is Italian - not latino.

Carlos Santana is good if you like a musician who plays a solo throughout the entire song, it kind of gets anoying, but he does have some skills.

I can not say enough about Carlos Santana! He is an awesome guitarist! I could listen to his songs for hours and be still amazed about the finger work!
