The ignition module is not really something you can test yourself,it requires specialty tools . They seldom fail, if you are not getting spark,it's more likely a coil/ tach wire short.or maybe a bad coil, but coils seldom fail either. What are the symptoms?

The ignition module....the only way to test it is to install a known good unit. There is no real way to test the ignition module.

Troubleshoot everything else by process of elimination.

you need Harley only test box (Scanaliser) which costs about $2,500 programming is changed/updated regularly from factory
(or one of the after market ones which are substantialy cheaper)
Big Brother IS watching you.
