Because milk has suspended particles, it is a colloid. I would say that it is homogeneous because no matter where you sample it, you should get the same substances, but I'm not 100% sure

Negative ions are larger because there are more electrons which need more room to spread out. They are also larger because there are less protons per electron so the electric force between them is weaker so they arent pulled in as much

The smallest unit would be a molecule of that compound
