"Old Time Rock and Roll" is a song by Bob Seger featured in the 1978 album "Stranger in Town". It is a nostalgic look at the music of a previous generation. The opening bars are strongly reminiscent of the beginning riff of Phil Ochs' 1965 antiwar folk anthem, "I Ain't Marching Anymore".
The song was chosen by RIAA as one of the Songs of the Century. It was made famous when it was used in the film Risky Business. It also features in ALF, The Nanny, and the South Park episode The Wacky Molestation Adventure, in a similar sequence to Risky Business, except with the inclusion of parents being taken away who were accused of molesting their children.

Old Time Rock & Roll was written by George Jackson, Thomas Jones, Bob Seger (who was not credited).
It appears on his album Stranger In Town (1978).
