You can download it from the service you want it from... You can use AIM from AOL, Yahoo Messenger from Yahoo!, or MSN Messenger from Microsoft. Just look them up in a search engine to find them. They're all free.

go to aim.com, click the link that says "get one free", follow the instructions, and download AIM. If you're on a mac and using ichat, just go to preferences, click on the icon at the top that says "accounts" under it, click the add/"+" button near the bottom, in the drop-down menu, click "AIM account", and give it your screen name and password.

for ICQ--There is tons of them- so look up whichever one you want.
For MSN-- go to www.msn.com (i believe MSN and Yahoo messengers work together now)
