Dear Cass
Go & chat with your Dr see what they say. Meantime try & relax, avoid all the stuff everyone has mentioned, also, soft cheese,raw/rare meats, don't pet sheep/lambs/goats. No saunas/jaccuzzi/steam room/massage.No cats poo(or any other kind of poo)if you have a cat- don't empty the litter tray yourself.
Hope it all works out for you this time

Hi Cass,
Congratulations! I'm sure that this is both a thrilling and scary time for you. I've been in your shoes before and while I was pregnant with my son, I was convinced (especially in the first trimester) that I was losing him (almost on a daily basis!).
It's important that you get to an OB/GYN as soon as possible. With your miscarriage history, they will want to monitor you closely. In my particular case, they noticed (with my first blood test) that my progesterone was low. I received shots for that and I did go on to have a healthy, baby boy.
I think you probably know that the reasons behind miscarriages - why they happen - are unknown.
Some that were mentioned to me:
* Caffiene (so I abstained from it)
* Smoking (which I did not do)
* Vitamin Deficiencies (which can probably be fixed quickly by an OB/GYN)
* Alcohol (which I did not do)
* Hormone Deficiencies (which was an issue for me - progesterone)
* Genetic Deficiencies (which they should be testing you for - especially if you do not carry this baby full-term)
I've included a couple of links for you. But you know, the most important thing is to get to your OB/GYN asap!

Well, as you already miscarried twice you should ask your doctor to think about a little treatment to close your cervix. This is called cerclage.Your cervix will be slightly sewed up with a threat (hey, this is ok, not a big thing to do, no worries about it). This will be opened again about two or three weeks prior date of birth. Take all the vitamins you're asked to and take care of yourself. Let other people do your job at work and/or household. Just be a little lazy.
Believe me, that will help.
Good luck.

Best of luck to you. Rest up a lot. Don't lift anything over 10 pounds. Also, try to avoid Ibuprofen. I had a friend who, according to her obstetrician, may have miscarried because she took Ibuprofen early in her pregnancy. It was an odd and unofficial side effect of taking Ibuprofen that the amniotic sac ruptured early on in the pregnancy.
The March of Dimes website actually cites a study on this (see link below) stating:
"One study also suggested that women who use pain-relieving medications such as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (such as ibuprofen) and aspirin around the time of conception may also increase their risk of miscarriage."

Do not lift anything heavy and the includes moving furniture to clean. Do not do any really physical sports like snowboarding or surfing. Follow your doctors advise and eat healthy. I wish you good luck and a healthy baby.
