The only way you can get alert from yahoo is if yu download yahoo messenger
messenger.yahoo.com
When you get email you will hear a sound and there will be a symbol

im not sure if they offer some sort of desktop program that will alert you, but i know you can download yahoo messenger and log in using your yahoo mail sn. keep it running in the background and a message will pop up in the bottom-right corner saying you have new mail with the subject name listed. it will also make a sound when you get a new message.

i think if Yahoo had a prize they have been giving freely they could enable us to all understand on their domicile web site. i think of this could be a scam. i don't think of i could click on the link if I have been you. in no way open any e mail you at the instant are not useful approximately. in case you have a question approximately it then you definately're probably genuine and shouldn't open it. you have the option of Yahoo messenger or another 3rd party messenger like Trillian or GAIM. you can also pay Yahoo for Yahoo Plus and get pop access and use either Outlook or Outlook Express and get a notification.

yes but you have to have yahoo messenger open. If that isnt good enough get a gmail account and then dowload gmail notify. Its the best I have used.
