like if you are sex counselor does that mean you get the same pay as a school guidance counselor. Do you go to college the same amount as a school guidance counselor?

No. Generally your salary as a sex counselor is based on how many patients you have. A school guidance counselor has a different graduate school specialization. The minimum schooling is the same for each, a masters. But everywhere you go will prefer a PhD. Not many schools want to hire someone who isn't a "doctor" and many people won't want to talk about their personal problems with someone who they feel isn't educated enough for their problems.

A guidance counselor is someone who works in schools and provides guidance to students, counsels families and students together (group therapy), helps student bodies deal with traumas (such as the loss of another student), helps students with scheduling, etc.

A sex counselor is a sex therapist and they don't typically deal with children. They typically deal with adults, helping couples with difficulties with their relationships, sexual problems, problems conceiving children, etc.

Becoming a guidance counselor is a fairly common career path but there are much fewer sex therapists and as a result, it is harder to find a sex therapy program at a college or university.
