4 things have eliminated mine and thats:

1) Body brushing before showering or bathing with a firm bristle body brush.

2) Shaving your legs whilst in the bath. The hot water allows the skin to relax and the skin to go slack it also gets you a closer shave too.

3) Try adding baby oil to your bath water. It locks in moisture.

4) And finally don't forget to moisturise.

I have this problem often, but what I do is use a moisturizing shave gel such as Skintimate with extra moisture to avoid dryness, change my razor often, and always put on leg or body cream after showers.

To get rid of ingrown hair bumps, one of my friends actually uses a tweezer and picks at the bump with it. Most times she can just pull the hair out. My suggestion is either just leave them and wait for them to go on their own or see a dermatologist.

In the shower, make sure your legs get real wet with warm water, and most important use a gel shaving cream, let it set as long as you can and use a new razor blade and rinse the blade in between you stroke with the blade against the skin. Then rinse of well and pat lightly, keeping the moisture in. and then apply a real good lotion and it will make them silky soft. Perfect!!

Wax or use an epilator (I know most people hate them but I like mine)--much smoother and longer lasting result and none of the irritation from razors. I hate shaving and hope I never have to go back to it.
