20 weeks is typical, but some woman don't feel anything until 25 weeks. No need to be concerned if you have had a healthy pregnancy so far. If you are still concerned mention it to your doctor during your next visit. If he isn't concerned than you shouldn't worry yourself either.

What you felt was probably your baby. The reason why you're not sure is because it hasn't been frequent enough. Everyone kept telling me that I was going to feel flutters, but what I felt didn't feel like fluttering. It felt like little taps in my lower abdomen. Once the baby was moving more frequently, I knew that what I was feeling before was him. Don't be alarmed that you're not feeling your baby just yet. Everyone is different and you still have plenty of time. I heard that some women don't feel their babies until around their 22nd week. I've even heard 26 weeks.
If you're still concerned, ask your doctor. He's or she will probably give you an ultrasound or use a doppler to hear your baby's heartbeat. Then, you'll know for sure!
Good luck!!! CONGRATS!

they don't exactly have to be flutters. everyone's different. any type of movement at all is a good sign. i wouldn't be concerned until you're about 21 to 24 weeks. this is when the books say you should begin feeling your baby move. i felt mine move really early on but that's also because he's so active. i'm now 34 weeks and he's kicking harder than ever. i feel like he's gonna kick a whole through my stomach sometimes. lol. my doc didn't even ask me if i felt my baby move until about 28 weeks. so i don't think you have anything to worry about.

No, don't worry. You will feel it soon enough. The first feelings I felt with my son was it almost felt like someone was drawing inside my uterus with a pin. If you placenta is on the front, you won't feel movement til a little later than others as the placenta kind of cushins the movements. Its not he uterus you feel, as there are no nerve endings in the uterus, its when it gets bumped hard enough to move it and hit the other things surrounding it. Good luck, the kicks will come soon

Man your opener scared me, I thought this a was like a baby in a crib. My wife never complaine dof the baby kicking til like 6 or 7 months. Before that you could feel them moving around like they are trying to get comfy. If you are really scared tho, go see you OB and let the doctor tell ya.
God Bless. Hope it is a healthy baby for ya.

You may not have felt anything during the "fluttering" stage, and went right to the "kicking" stage! If you really have concerns, check with your Dr. Good luck!

Don't stress about it , I wouldn't be to concerned about it right now, I would definatley bring it up to your next doctors visit and see what he/she says . But some women don't feel their baby move until later than 17 weeks.
Congrats and GOOD LUCK!!!!!
