Go to armor games and look for Sonic the Hedgehog, dont worry they have it for sure, i just played it

If you check online for a ROM file for the game,(ex. search, sonic the hedgehog rom)(this is your game file) Then find an EMULATOR for the rom (ex. search game gear emulator for a game gear sonic, genesis emulator for a genesis sonic etc.) when you open your game through the emulator you should be able to play online for most systems through an option.
