I remember the theme tune!! (well some of it anyway!)
"Casey Jones, a steaming and a rolling
Casey Jones you'll never find the rest (?)
When you here the tooting of the whistle
You know it's Casey that is calling on the cannonball express"
It's quite a few years ago and my memory, I have just discovered, isn't that brilliant! LOL

Yes I do remember Casey Jones & Champion the Wonder horse it was the days before Swap Shop and Saturday Superstore.
I also remember 2 other series The Flashing Blade - 12 parts (French dubbed to english) shown by the BBC first in 1969, & The Adventires of Robinson Crusoe - 13 parts (French dubbed to english) shown by the BBC around 1969.
Both the above I bought of E-Bay recently watching them brought back memories of childhood I was 10 at the time. It made my think of the kids TV I watched compared to todays 10 year olds. Nowdays they have too much choice.

I remember Casey Jones at 9.00 on a weekday evening. It was the one night a week that I was allowed to stay up after 9!!! Perhaps I'm a bit older than you and saw it first time around.

Yes, I used to watch his show on WTCN-TV (now KARE) as a preschooler in a Minneapolis suburb in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Some kind soul has set up a Web site to preserve these childhood memories.

No, but I remember Swap Shop and Saturday Superstore..... I used to love Saturday morning kids TV, even loved it when Ant & Dec done SMTV Live.... on how we have changed watching Saturday kitchen now!!!!

Mmm, just remember it I was about 4 I think......on an old B/W tv! No colour sets in UK then....Which answer will u choo choose? Sad, but it had to be said!
