"Its Hard To Say Goodbye"-Boys II Men....Everytime I hear that song I cry my heart out. It reminds me of how hard it was to say goodbye to my 7 little cousins who all died in a fire at the same time at very young ages. (2 months-6yrs.). That was one of the hardest times of my life. But now there are *~!7 MoRe AnGeLs In HeAvEn!~*.....(R.I.P.) Okay Im done talking about it, because its making me teary eyed again sorry....Thanks for reading! :)

Hey there. hope your well. The song which i find very emotinal right now is..... If Your Not The One, by Daniel Bedingfield.
The reason for this is because i am in love with this guy from work and everytime i see him my heart skips a beat. I cry sometimes 'cause i know we can never be together.
The only problem is that he is straight and although he likes me as a friend there is no way we can ever be together.
Alas, life goes on.
So if you know this song and listen to the words then you will know how i am feeling right now.
Take care.

There are many songs out there that mean a lot to me. So many hold special places in my heart that it is difficult to narrow it down to one song. But if I had to single out one that really meant the most to me, I would have to say that it is " In My Life" by The Beatles. That one song gets me the way no other song does.

In My Life

Album: Rubber Soul
(Lennon/McCartney)

There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

If you can find it there is a version of this song that Sean Connery did. Obviously he doesn't sing it, he reads it. The way his inflections fill the words give it amazing feeling.

Too Much Love Will Kill You - Queen (or Brian May). Takes me back to a time of being "torn between the lover and the love you leave behind" as the lyrics say.

"I feel like noone ever told the truth to me about growing up and what a struggle it would be - in my tangled state of mind I've been looking back to find where I went wrong". I was completely confused. Young, but happily engaged (or so I thought) until I left the small town I was from and went to university where I met a fantastic girl. I was completely torn. Gradually things got worse and worse with fiancee and I had to call it off - the long distance thing was impossible and I couldn't take my mind off the other girl.

"How would it be if you were standing in my shoes? Can't you see it's impossible to choose? No there's no making sense of it, every way I go I have to lose" - I knew I was throwing away a relationship with someone totally devoted to me and besotted with me, but if I stayed with her, I was missing out on what I knew would be a mind-blowing experience. And it was. But it didn't last, and I ended up with nothing. "Too much love will kill you, just as sure as none at all. It'll drain the power that's in you, make you bleed and scream and crawl - the pain will make you crazy, you're the victim of your crime, too much love will kill you, every time."

Still, as Madonna said, she was my "lesson I had to learn". And I'm happy now. Take it home Brian.... "Too much love will kill you, it'll make your life a lie, too much love will kill you, and you won't understand why. You give your life, you sell your soul but here it comes again - too much love will kill you, in the end". xx

God I could list hundreds, but I'll try not to...
its all about the lyrics for me, good lyrics and men with acoustic guitars mmmm
If I had to pick one it'd be 'If you could read my mind' by Gordon Lightfoot. If you don't listen carefully it sounds like a nice love song, but if you listen to the words, man its tragic!
especially the bit that goes....

If I could read your mind love
What a tale your thoughts could tell
Just like a paperback novel
The kind that drugstores sell
When you reach the part where the heartaches come
The hero would be me
But heroes often fail
And you won't read that book again
Because the ending's just too hard to take

I'd walk away like a movie star
Who gets burned in a three way script
Enter number two
A movie queen to play the scene
Of bringing all the good things out in me
But for now love, let's be real
I never thought I could feel this way
And I've got to say that I just don't get it
I don't know where we went wrong
But the feelin's gone
And I just can't get it back

Chokes me everytime, listen out for it if you can.
great question :)

I agree, Pet is a great song, but mine would have to be Seize The Day by Avenged Sevenfold... who knew a power ballad had so much impact?! If you haven't heard it, it's about spendning time with the ones you love because you nerve know when you might lose them. The music video made it perfect. Basically - The video is based on a couple in love. Matt's friends (the rest of Avenged Sevenfold) come to his house and they make plans to rob a store. In the process, Matt gets caught by the police and the others drive off, leaving him behind. Matt goes to jail and his girlfriend comes to visit him in jail. They get into a fight and while driving away, his girlfriend is hit by a van. While showing the funeral scene, her body is lowered into the ground, Synyster Gates is shown playing the guitar solo on top of her casket. At the end of the video, Matt is at her grave, with their son and the rest of the band

i have a few, when im feeling loved up i always play either andy williams cant take my eyes off you as this is what my boyfriend sang to me one night in the middle of a VERY crowded pub. Or i play Alladdin and Jasmine a whole new world ( just for the 'dont you dare close your eyes' part it gives me goosebumps)

If im in a dancey mood, at the moment i play one of 2 songs, either the mavericks dance the night away or cascada every time we touch (this reminds me of my boyfriend also.

If im sad i listen to pretty much anything that will make me cry my fave being whitney houston all at once.

Time After Time by Sydney Lauper. I know I didn't spell that name right. When it first came on the radio when I was little I used to hear it all the time when I was with my sister. Our family was going through a tough time, tough can barely describe it, and when I would lay in my older sisters bed at night I would hear that song and it totally said all the right words.

Dr. Feelgood by Aretha Franklin. She's a legend, and this song is not only a blues standard in it's most pure form, but it's what every man wants his woman to say about him to other people. Check the lyrics...

I dont want nobody
Always sitting around me and my man.
I dont want nobody
Always sitting right there
Looking at me and that man
Be it my mother, my brother, or my sister
Would you believe? I'll get up, put on some clothes,
Go out and help them find somebody for themselves
If I can. Yes I will!

Now I dont mind company
Because company's alright with me every once and a while
Yes it is.
I tell you I dont mind company
Because company's alright with me every once in a while, yeah.
But oh, when me and that man get to loving
I tell you girls I dig you, but I just dont have time
To sit and chit and sit and chit chat and smile.

Dont send me no doctor
Filling me up with all of those pills
I got me a man named Dr. Feelgood
And oh, yeah that man takes care of all my pains and my ills.
His name is Dr. Feelgood in the morning.
Taking care of business is really this man's game.
And after one visit to Dr. Feelgood
You understand why Feelgood is his name
Oh yeah, oh good God Almighty the man sure makes me feel real
Goooooooooooooooooooood!!!!!!

Woo, shawdwarf, right album wrong track !
I go for `Cypress Avenue` by Van Morrison, I can remember exactly where I was when I first heard it, hanging over the edge of the bed with the radio underneath it and this music flowing out across the floor.
I had never heard anything like it before...seminal.
