well i just woke up right now.well at 2:00 i woke up from hearing someone singing down stairs.i went donstairs and hid behing my book case.there i saw a little girl with bloody eyes cleaning a bloody knife.this girl was about 14.i was scared beause she stopped humming and came closer to me.since i use to be a cop i ran upstiars grabbed a gun and went downstairs again.by the time i reached downstairs no one was there.so i called my friends and they did say something about a girl missing who was a murder.was that a dream?oh and when i woke up i had blood on my wrist.

You now, Most men do want a boy. So it would seem, in my experiences. My best advice would be to just let him be, because once he sees her, he WILL fall in love with her!!! ( Because, well, ya can't put her back and exchange her!!) And he should just be happy that he has a healthy baby.
A lot of men out there want a boy to do "manly" stuff with. Some want a boy to carry the family name. If you do feel it necessary to talk to him about this, then do so. Tell him that he can do all the things he planned to do with a boy, with the little girl.
Tell him that maybe one day if she gets married she may never choose to give up her family name. ( Some women do keep it)
But I really wouldn't worry too much about it. He will fall in love. And I'm sure she'll be her daddy's little girl, and they will love eachother very much.
Besides, it's the male that determines the gender of a baby. So really, it's his own fault! Oh, and ...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

My partner really wanted a boy, but we were unable to find out the sex of the baby until THE DAY. Well we ended up having a little girl and my parter couldn't be more thrilled. I know it seems hard to cheer hubby up now, but once he is holding his little princess he will forget about ever being upset. Try to remind him that she will be Daddy's Little Girl, and he can still teach her the things he wanted to teach a boy. I think men get a little anxious about raising a girl as they think because they know all about being a boy, it would be easier to raise one. The best thing I have found about having a girl, is they don't tend to pee on you during a daiper change!
Hang in there, he will love and adore Maryanna more than he could imagine right now!

Congratulations on your baby girl.I have a 1 year old daughter and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me.Now the reaction that your husband had wasn't right.He should be happy of having a healthy baby.Now if this time it wasn't a boy maybe next time.He needs to take back what he said because the baby feels everything and they know whats going on.You should tell the baby that her daddy didn't mean that.That he loves her so much.Good luck.

He'll get over it. He love the baby if it is a girl just as much as if it had been a boy. I know a friend of mine when they had there second child it was a girl and her husband was disappointed but he love that child alots and worship the ground the young child walks on. So you can tell your husband that he love her just as much as if it had been a boy. I know I was the only girl . my mom and dad had 5 boys and so they didn't know how to act when I came along. But I climb trees etc like boys. So as long as the child is heathly that is the main concern right now. take care and good luck . I will pray for you.

He'll get over it. (Remember, sperm determines the sex of the baby, so it's technically his fault you're having a girl lol).
Remind him that God wanted you to have this little girl for a reason, and you can always have another baby later on. That baby could be a son. Every man wants a son, but his daughter will bring a lot of joy to his heart after she's born.

Give him time, he was probebly thinking about all the little boy stuff he might miss out on and having a little girl can be scary to a dad and mom! When he hold that little baby in his arms and look into her tiny little face, his heart will melt. By the way, have you seen the movie "Nine Months"?

I've experienced this first hand! My husband and I have 3 beautiful girls and everytime he found out it was a girl he was pouty. He'll get over it especially when she's born. Most men want a boy, but when they see their precious little daughters and hold them their hearts melt! Just be understanding of his emotions... it's mostly an ego thing. Congratulations and hope all goes well!

Perhaps figuring out why he wanted a boy will help. Some men worry they won't relate to a daughter the way the would with a son. I'm sure once he gets to know her she'll be "daddy's little girl".

Guys are wierd. Sure he may want a boy in his mind, but just wait until you give birth, after you bring him "his little princess" the rest is all out the window. He will love his little girl and will probably be very protective of his little girl.
