What comics/ magazines did you buy?
I remember I used to get Tops & Look In every week.....then I progressed to Jackie and Smash Hits!!

Whizer and chips came out on my birthday when I was about 11 so I started buying that until a few years later when I progressed onto Smash hits because there were great pin ups of David Essex, David Cassidy, The Bay City Rollers etc, etc. I still used to sneak a look at my brothers' Beano every week though! OH MY GOD! How rude did that sound?!!!

I remember Bunty, maybe Judy? Then Look in, and Smash Hits. Used to sit and learn all the words out of smash hits every week. Then I progressed to Just seventeen, even though I was much younger.

I used to get the Beano coz my English teacher at school wrote stories for it, well he used to get us kids to make up comic boards and he probably used our ideas as his own!!
Then I got Jackie and then Smash Hits, soon I will be reading Peoples Friend or Saga magazine lol

When I was a kid I got Bunty and my sister got Judy, we used to swap over and read each others comics, I moved onto Jackie, My guy and occasionally bought Smash hits too, my sister used to nick both my copies of them so I stopped bothering getting them in the end up, she had more money than I did anyhow.

Hi!
I used to love Twinkle, Bunty and also Judy.
Then when I was a teenager I upgraded to Jackie - great agony page, Fab 208 - great for all the fashion trends and Smash Hits - so that I could learn all the top ten songs by heart!

I used to get Twinkle when i was little, then progressed to Look In!Thanks to Smash Hits I knew every word to all the songs of the 80's!

I bought Smash Hits too! And Top of the Pops. Then when I was about eleven I started buying Sugar to feel all grown up. I still buy Sugar and I read Bliss,Cosmo Girl and Kiss too. I'll read anything

I used to get Twinkle when I was younger before progressing on to Jackie, Smash Hits and My Guy.
I wanted to change my name to Jackie and vowed to call my daughter if I ever had one ....that name.....I didn't! lol
Smash Hits was great! Loved the song lyrics!
My Guy......the cheesy photo stories.....good memories!

I was into Fast Forward and when I visited the library I would sneak a peek at Just seventeen as my mum would not buy it. I also often got Shout and Smash Hits

I read every Archie comic book that came out. When I was really young, like the "tween" years and earlier, I was obsessed with bridal magazines because I wanted to have a princess dress just like Cinderella's ball gown. I didn't even like boys yet. I just wanted all the glam and sparkle.
