you have communited fracture- bone broken in pieces, 3 or more
greenstick- common in children, bone breaks resembles the break of a fresh twig
Transverse fracture. The fracture is at right angles to the long axis of the bone.
Open or compound fracture. The skin may be pierced by the bone or by a blow that breaks the skin at the time of the fracture. The bone may or may not be visible in the wound.
Short arm cast: Applied below the elbow to the hand. Forearm or wrist fractures. Also used to hold the forearm or wrist muscles and tendons in place after surgery.

i replace into on the roof for the time of a warm summer season day fixing the CB antenna and thanks to the warmth i replace into ingesting a lot of beer. properly, I have been given it fastened and because I had climbed up and not utilising a ladder, i assumed i could lay on my abdomen on the roof and slide my legs over the sting and inch in direction of the sting of the roof slowly and actual till my legs may be approximately 4 or 5 feet above the floor then fall wisely the the remainder of ways. incorrect!! that's no longer rather the way it finished. I landed on my heels quite of my feet and fell over backwards onto my butt and the two considered one of my rearwardly prolonged hands. snapping my hands basically above the wrists, breaking the two considered one of them on the comparable time. did you recognize that this is impossible to "wipe your butt" after taking a sell off once you have casts overlaying your hands from the palms to the elbows. it extremely is once you come across out if there is honestly anybody who's REALLLY your chum. wish this kinda makes your day.

My daughter broke her arm in 2 places...one was on her growth plate.
(when she broke it...she really didnt cry all that much)....well......not at first. She came in I seen her fall, she sliped and fell from the swing. I started to make my way to her...but I seen her coming to me, I figured...I would make a big deal of it...just let her tell me...Calmly she came in and sat down, next to me I hugged her, and asked if she was ok. She said her arm hurt...and then it started to swell....and then she cried. Because she didnt cry right away, I had put ice...and so I was just like unsure what to do- I wasnt sure she broke it. I felt bad, because I waited an hour before taking her into the emergency room. (but realize it takes time to get everything together, and drive her there) so that's why the long time period. They asked her how she broke her arm and I started to tell them...and THEY YELLED at me basically told me to SHUT UP... to let her tell them. Made me FEEL like I was the one that broke her arm. I was hurt by that to say the least so - I let her tell them.
I'm not sure, but the cast (air cast maybe)? they put her in was the type you could remove, for showers and things like that, and they put the arm in a sling to keep it up. We went every few weeks to get it re-checked to make sure it was healing properly. Because it was on the growth plate, we had a 6 month and then a yearly check up.
No fun ways...especially at night when the pain would worsen. She did like a little extra attention from teachers and students and her siblings.
It was costly somewhat because it was winter and I had to cut her shirts for her to be able to wear them. Come spring....I finished cutting the rest of them.
Her arm is pretty straight now....she just tried her first bow & arrow target shooting with the girlscouts. Bulls-eye at her first time...amazing.........
(however...we are hoping that we dont have to expierence that again)............Now...if my children ever get hurt...it just breaks my heart...because, I feel like I'm on trial....(by the way...when my daughter used the bow and arrow thingy...she got like a burse on her upper arm) The school questioned her - Here again...I felt like they were looking at me. I'm a good parent. I have a hard enough time correcting my kids....if anything...They make me cry. So....the moral of the story is ..................(dont let your kids get hurt).
