I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I think you should know what you're facing.

There is no surviving liver cancer. My father, who was as healthy as a 30 yr. old man but was 51, died of liver cancer 23 yrs. ago. I know medicine has come a long way since then, but there is no hope with that cancer. It is terminal. I don't know if you're old enough to remember, but Michael Landon also had liver cancer. He tried all kinds of alternative medicines and practices and still didn't survive. They gave my father 3 mos. to live when he was diagnosed. He lived 6. It was horrible to watch him dwindle away. I was 19, my brother 17 at the time.

Just try to make her as comfortable as possible. She has great faith and positivity because all cancer patients do. Even up to the very end. I'm sorry that she has cancer, and I'm sorry for what you'll go through. Treasure the times now.

I am sorry to hear about your mum. About a year ago I read an article and have always kept it in the back of my mind in case I or someone I knew would develop cancer.

Also, keep in mind that stress and negativity can cause illness and make existing illnesses worse, so try to get her to think positvely and limit her stress.
