for anyone that lives in virginia what does a work permit allow you to do?

I am 15 y and 7 months and i am trying to find a job but they keep saying i have to be 16 years old so what does a work permit allow me to do?

Only some places will let you work with a work permit. Not all businesses insurance will allow them to let you work, even with the permit. Fast food places probably will but I doubt anything industrial will allow it.

and you have limited hours that you can work. Can you just hang out for three months? You're going to be working for the rest of your life!
