I'm 5'6'' I weigh 120lbs and I want to stay that way. How do I quit? (your method can't cost more then I pay for cigarette's ($5.00 every other day) Thanks

I quit cold turkey 4 years ago and with the money I saved I got 4 tattoos (2 at a time) and my new computer--if you put your mind to it you can do it--I'm glad I did because I am recovering from a collapsed lung and they had to remove part of my lung and you should see the nasty looking crap that came out of my lungs and I had already stopped smoking 3 years earlier--so please try to quit for your health!

I took the prescription drub Zyban (Welbutrin) and within 3 days I began to lose my cravings for cigarettes. I smoked for 47 years. In the meantime, I went to a website called "quitsmokingonline.com". Reading that 10 module program had a dramatic affect on me.

Since I quit July 31, 2006 I have NOT smoked 2,149 cigs, saved over $300.00 and my car and my house smell wonderful.

I can now smell smoke on other people and wonder how anyone could stand to be around me.

6,000,000 people have quit smoking. You can do. If I did, anyone can. Also try website "quitnet.com" Lot of support and ideas there. You think you can't have fun, enjoy a glass of wine, talking on the phone, etc. Look around you at all the other people in the world that enjoy these and other things, and DO NOT SMOKE.

Good Luck !!!

"I hear it's bad for my health..."? You must be joking.

I stopped smoking cold turkey just over 10 years ago. I didn't chew gum, I didn't use a patch...I just decided that it was TIME to quit. In my opnion, everything else is just a rationale to NOT stop smoking.

When you decide that it's time to stop, you'll stop, and not a moment before. I don't believe that there's any such thing as "weaning" one's self off cigarettes. You're either smoking or you're not smoking.

My method is cheap. Doesn't cost you anything but the effort. But, if your weight is more important to you than your health, you're probalby not serious about this anyway.

Cigarettes are bad for you and smoking weed is bad too. if you still want to get high but don't want to smoke, get yourself a vaporizer and have fun. If you quit smoking tobacco, you'll live longer. If you quit smoking weed, you'll live longer but you might not enjoy it as much.

Nicotine Patch

I am sure you will get advice about the patch or the nicorette stuff. They do help a lot. But I have a good tip for you: buy some cloves and when you get the urge for a smoke, take a clove and suck on it (but don't swallow). It will gently numb your tongue and take away a lot of the craving.

I did it cold turkey, so it didn't cost a thing! Well, I did chew gum - a lot more than I already did.
