Do you mean can't do an @?

If so:
Go To Start, Control Panel, regional and Language Options, and check that all is set to UK

Failing that press shift and 2 to get an at (if that works your using english american as opposed to english GB)

I had the same problem with a brand new dell pc - called the support line, they said it was a bug in one of the applications installed on the computer, I had to deactivate this program - and voila, @ was on again! You can find the program in your control panel, mine was something like a touchpad-ad on thing...

I have the same problem with my keyboard.
You have to press the shift key then let go try pressing the shift and at button at the same time........ basically just fiddle around with the shift and @ key !

You have it set on american layout, this means " and @ are swapped, press shift and 2 and you should get an @ sign.
Reset your keyboard preferences in control panel to put it back to normal.

it usually means you have either an old computer or, if you have the @ symbol but when you press it is does something else it is configured differently. try either pressing shift + 2 or shift + '

Because your keyboard is on the american english setup if you press ctl + 2 you'll find it there

To cure it , when on your desktop screen look at your toolbar find the letters EN click on that & change your preference

Keyboard setting set to US and not UK. Go to control panel and change the setting.
