cause its probably sentimental.and has been passed down from the family or it could be some thing special that was given for them to remember sum1 by.it irreplaceable

Because those old worn out stuff could be a sentimental valuable thing. It means a lot to them, that's why they keep it all these time. If those stuff are broken, then of course they would get mad, especially when those stuffs are broken by someone else..

It might be old worn out stuff to you, but it could be something they cherish. Everybody has their own old stuff that they cherish and would be hurt, mad, or whatever if something happens to it.

Maybe the "old work out stuff" is valueable to them and it was given to them. Just because its not yours and its old doesnt mean that the person doesnt want it. Be generous to others..
